9/12/2023 0 Comments Quip toothbrush slate metal![]() ![]() Don't waste your money.if you want a good Sonic toothbrush, there are many better choices than this thing. I also own an Aquasonic Black(or Vibe if you want different colors), and that brush, which is VASTLY superior to this thing, and comes with 8 brush heads, a charger and traveling case, cost the exact same thing as this. ![]() Here's the thing.this cost just under $40, and all you get is the handle and a single brush head. Now look, maybe if you want something small that you can stick in your pocket.this will work, but seriously, I can get my teeth cleaner using my manual toothbrush for 45 seconds, than I can using this one for 2 minutes. Go look at ANY other toothbrush out there today, and you'll see a better designed brush head. Although you can hear it when you turn it on, you can barely feel any actual movement from the brush head.a brush head that truly resembles the toothbrushes that were the norm 6 decades ago. As someone who has owned Sonic toothbrushes b efore.this thing is a joke. Just me, but I kinda thought the idea of an electric, sonic toothbrush, was that the brush did the work, and you didn't have to do the heavy lifting. I gave this a try, just for the heck of it, and honestly, I have no idea how it has so many high reviews. Not quite sure if my review here makes a lot of sense to those not having experienced the Quip, but it’s hard to describe those differences. ![]() Also has a tongue scraper on backside of the brush head. One thing I do like about the quip is that the vibration pauses a second or two to let you know it’s time to move to another area (right outer, left outer, right inner, left inner, etc), so it helps ensure you brush adequately across the whole mouth. I suppose that does provide some benefit, but unlike an articulating brush head that brushes over a small area, you have to provide that coverage… the vibration from the head isn’t sweeping over the small area, it just vibrates where it’s placed. It doesn’t “articulate” like an electric toothbrush, it v ibrates. However, it’s unlike any electric toothbrush I’ve ever used and honestly not sure what to think about it. Always consult a physician or other qualified health provider regarding any questions you may have about a medical condition or health objectives. These are very sleek toothbrushes that aren’t an eyesore in a toothbrush holder if you’ve got your bathroom remodeled to look “high end”. Pretty, for a price: the 25 Gleem (at left) and the 45, metal-handled Quip electric toothbrushes Photos: Rozette Rago. It works well to clean your teeth, gums and tongue, and it's inexpensive.Īs for me, I plan to stick with my Oral-B brush for the long term because its smaller brush head - that's also designed for sensitive teeth like mine - works better for my needs. The 45 metal-handled Quip, in particular, is especially beautiful. ![]() The brush is easy to use, looks nice in your bathroom and doesn't require charging. If you've never made the leap to electric brushes, Quip is a good starting place. Using an electric toothbrush, especially one that has a timer, helps ensure you are spending enough time cleaning your teeth. So if a manual brush works just as well as an electric one, why bother? Because most of us don't brush correctly, or for enough time. For instance, Oral-B has eight options, including a brush head that promotes stain removal to one designed to clean around braces. One more thing to note: Both Oral-B and Sonicare also offer a variety of brush heads for different needs. ![]()
